Guaranteeing the quality of the contents of the repository is important in order to win the willingness of the authors and to achieve the intended outer institutional visibility. For this reason, the documents must be submitted to a formal and content analysis that guarantees their relevance to the repository.

Content evaluation will be performed at different stages of the process, according to the kind of material to be introduced.

In documents that have already been published in journals that have peer-review systems, or that have gone through an assessment board  — as is the case of theses — the quality control has been previously carried out before the item’s arrival at the repository. Therefore, the value of its contents will be considered as already guaranteed.

The validity and authenticity of submission contents is the sole responsibility of the depositor.
