Occupying the ground floor of the prestigious Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury Health Sciences Center on the Byblos Campus, LAU’s Health Sciences Library (HSL) was inaugurated on the 25th of November 2013.
HSL promotes excellence in health and general wellbeing by developing and maintaining services and resources that support the health information needs of the School of Medicine (SOM), School of Nursing (SON), School of Pharmacy (SOP) and the LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital (LAUMC-RH).
The 800 square meter facility has the capacity to cater to over 165 knowledge seekers in different seating arrangements. It includes a group study room that can accommodate 8 users at any one time in an atmosphere dedicated to the comfort and convenience of its users.
The library provides its users access to a variety of equipment, such as PCs, Laptops, iPads, printers and photocopiers/scanners.
All library departments are dedicated not only to providing access to information, but also to assisting information seekers in developing successful strategies for finding and evaluating information for a full range of needs.
Orientation, individual instruction, and research assistance are available to library users throughout the year.
